Far East Memphis subdivision developed in the 1960s and 1970s in the Ridgeway-Mount Moriah corridor, named in the British country-estate tradition that defined many <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_neighborhoods_in_Memphis,_Tennessee" rel="noopener" target="_blank">East Memphis postwar developments</a>.
