East Memphis residential subdivision listed among the area's defined postwar neighborhoods alongside Colonial Acres, Sherwood Forest, Balmoral, and High Point Terrace. Sitting northeast of Colonial Acres and northwest of White Oak, Pleasant Acres was built out during the mid-1950s and 1960s annexation wave when most of East Memphis inside the I-240 loop was absorbed into the city, becoming a quiet single-family pocket of roughly 800 residents.
