A bit of Cordova history
Settled in the 1830s as a railroad town along the Memphis & Charleston line. The name reportedly came from a shipment of leather from Córdoba, Spain. Was its own community until annexed by Memphis in 1990. Now Memphis's most rapidly suburbanizing northeast quadrant.
